Before You Travel
It is your responsibility to ensure that you and every person travelling on your booking have the correct and valid travel documents for the entire journey.
Passport, visa, immigration and entry requirements vary depending on:
your nationality;
the passport or travel document you hold;
your destination;
any country you transit through;
the length and purpose of your stay;
your age and personal circumstances; and
the date of travel.
Entry requirements can change at short notice. You should therefore check the latest official information both before booking and again before travelling.
Passport Requirements
Every traveller must hold a passport or other travel document that meets the requirements of their destination and any transit countries.
Different countries apply different passport-validity rules. For example, some destinations require additional validity beyond the planned date of departure, while others require the passport simply to remain valid for the duration of the stay.
Before travelling, you should check:
your passport expiry date;
the passport issue date, where relevant;
any minimum remaining validity requirement;
whether blank passport pages are required;
whether your passport is damaged;
whether your name matches your booking;
the requirements of every transit country on your itinerary; and
any special requirements that apply to children or dual nationals.
If your passport does not meet the applicable requirements, you may be refused boarding or entry to your destination.
Visa and Entry Requirements
You are responsible for obtaining any visa, electronic visa, travel authorisation, entry permit or other immigration approval required for your journey.
Visa requirements depend on your nationality and destination and may also depend on the purpose and duration of your trip.
You should allow sufficient time to complete any required visa or travel-authorisation application before departure.
Tiger Holidays cannot guarantee that a visa or other travel authorisation will be granted.
If a visa application is refused, delayed or not completed in time, the normal cancellation conditions applicable to your booking may apply unless otherwise required by law.
British Citizens
Unless specifically stated otherwise, general passport and visa information provided by Tiger Holidays is intended primarily for British citizens travelling on a full British Citizen passport from the United Kingdom.
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office provides destination-specific advice covering entry requirements, passport validity, visas, safety, health and local laws.
You should check the latest official UK Government Foreign Travel Advice for every country you intend to visit or transit through.
Non-British Passport Holders
If you are not travelling on a full British Citizen passport, different requirements may apply.
You should check requirements with:
the embassy or consulate of your destination;
the immigration authority of your destination;
the authorities of any country you will transit through; and
your airline or other transport provider where appropriate.
Please do not rely solely on information intended for British passport holders.
Transit Requirements
A visa or other travel authorisation may sometimes be required even where you are only changing flights or passing through a country.
You are responsible for checking the requirements of all countries included in your itinerary, including transit points.
This is particularly important where:
you change airports;
you must collect and re-check baggage;
you pass through immigration;
you have separate flight tickets; or
an overnight transit is involved.
Children Travelling Abroad
Additional documentation may be required for children travelling:
with only one parent;
without either parent;
with another family member or adult; or
where the child and accompanying adult have different surnames.
Depending on the destination, authorities may request evidence of parental responsibility or written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians should check the requirements of the destination and transit countries before travel.
Names on Travel Documents
Traveller names provided when booking should match the travel document that will be used for the journey.
Please check all names carefully before confirming your booking.
Airlines and other suppliers may charge for correcting a name, and some tickets may require cancellation and rebooking if the passenger name is incorrect.
Contact Tiger Holidays as soon as possible if you discover an error.
Changes to Passport Details
If you renew or replace your passport after making a booking, you may need to update:
Advance Passenger Information;
airline records;
visa or electronic travel-authorisation applications; or
other booking information.
Contact us if you are unsure whether updated passport details need to be added to your booking.
Lost, Stolen or Damaged Passports
If your passport is lost, stolen or damaged before travelling, you should immediately check whether a replacement passport or Emergency Travel Document is required and whether that document will be accepted by your destination and transit countries.
A replacement or emergency document may also affect an existing visa or travel authorisation.
Health and Entry Formalities
Some destinations may have health-related entry requirements, including vaccination certificates, health documentation or other formalities.
You should check the latest official travel advice for your destination before travel.
Health entry requirements are separate from travel insurance. We strongly recommend arranging appropriate travel insurance for your trip.
Changes to Entry Requirements
Governments and immigration authorities may change entry requirements at short notice.
Information available when you book may therefore be different by the time you travel.
We recommend checking the official Foreign Travel Advice for your destination:
before booking;
when applying for any required visa;
shortly before departure; and
whenever you are informed of a significant change to your itinerary.
The UK Government's Foreign Travel Advice provides current country-specific information on entry requirements, health, safety and legal differences.
If You Cannot Travel Because of Your Documents
If you are unable to travel because you:
do not have a valid passport;
have not obtained the required visa or travel authorisation;
provided incorrect passenger information;
do not meet immigration or entry requirements; or
are refused boarding or entry because your documents are not acceptable,
this will normally be treated as a cancellation or non-use of the relevant travel services and the applicable Booking Terms and cancellation conditions may apply.
This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable law.

Where applicable, we will provide general passport, visa and health information relevant to your package before you complete your booking.
